The Data Translation facility allows
you to manipulate and replace data from the source datasource as it is being
transferred to the destination datasource.
To define a Data Translation rule
follow the steps below:
1.
From within the Table Map Properties
form click on the Data
Translation… button to open the Data
Translation Properties form.
2.
To add a new Data Translation record click on the Add
… TranslationID button.
This will create a new entry line at the bottom of the existing entries.
3.
Using the ColumnID
drop-down menu select the column the data to be translated will be transferred
from.
4.
Input the value that will be found in the datasource column directly into
the OriginalValue
field.
5.
Input the value the original value is to be substituted with directly
into the ReplacementValue
field.
6.
Click on the Close
button to save the new Data Translation Properties
record close the form.
