Job Record – Job Details

New Job Records are created using the Job Properties form. Instructions on how to complete the Job Details tab follow.  For instructions on completing Job Procession Options refer to Job Record – Processing Options Details.

Open a new Job Properties form by clicking on the New Job button or choose Add New ® Job from the main menu or right clicking in the Job Details (right-hand) list area and selecting New Job from the popup menu. 



The
JobID field automatically populates with the next available system unique identifies for Job records.

The Sequence field will have automatically populated with the next available sequence number.  You can manually adjust this number by inputting a new number into the field.  For example, if you had job records with sequential numbers of 10, 20, 30 and you created a new job it would automatically default to 40.  If required, you could renumber the job as 21 in order to advise SLIK that the new job should run directly after Job sequence 20.  (Refer User Preferences)

The reference for the active Batch will have automatically populated the Batch field.  You can select an alternative Batch reference by accessing the Batch field drop-down list and selecting an alternative value from the menu. The Batch field can be used to move a job to another batch if necessary.

Active the Operation Type drop-down list and select the required Operation Type value.

Activate the Operation drop-down list and select the required Operation value.  The Operation values available are limited to those associated with the Operation Type selected in the previous step.   Refer to Create a New Operation for instructions on how to create a new Operation if the value you require is not available.

To override the default processing order the jobs runs activate the On Success drop-down list and select the required value to reflect what job should occur if the Job completes successfully.

Save the record by clicking on the Apply button.

Click on the Processing Options tab and complete the tab using the instructions detailed below.
