Data Integrity

To ensure data integrity SLIK performs all database operations within a transaction. This ensures that a failure during transfer or update causes the updates to be reversed, i.e. Rolled-back.

Minimise Errors

Error checking is an integral feature of SLIK and error reporting is proactive through email and/or pager alerts to nominated persons. Using the same facility email notifications can be sent to nominated persons based on the status of predefined database conditions.

Scaleable & Flexible

SLIK has no limit to the number of interfaces that can be set up. SLIK is designed to be flexible. If you want to set up an interface between ODBC based databases SLIK can do it and it is very easy to set up that interface.

Data Validation

If required SLIK can validate that the number of rows or records processed is the same as the number of rows selected in the source database. This is accomplished after the actual transfer by performing an aggregate SQL statement against both data sources and verifying the results.If any variance is found an email alert is sent to the operator.

Scheduling

SLIK has a built in scheduler, which makes it very easy to set up schedules to automatically run jobs. Tasks can be scheduled to suit your business process. Jobs that at present you need to remember to do can be executed when you specify and the results emailed without you thinking about it.
